Bishop’s Lent appeal 2020

The Bishop’s Lent appeal for this year will raise money for our partner diocese of Morogoro in Tanzania, to help them to counter the effects of climate change in their diocese.

Bishop John said: 

“During Lent this year, the Church of England is encouraging people to ‘care for creation’ with a series of suggestions and reflections as we journey together through the season. Our friends in Morogoro have been hit much harder than us by the impact of climate change, with droughts, floods and even a plague of locusts which has recently hit East Africa. It therefore seems appropriate that we should look to raise funds to support them as they try to overcome these issues.” 

Donations can be made by sending a cheque, payable to Worcester Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd and clearly marked ‘Bishop’s Lent Appeal’ to:
