Fourteen candidates will be ordained over the first weekend in July to serve in parishes across the Diocese.
Over 40 people from across the Diocese have received a certificate from Bishop Martin, marking the completion of a course designed to help them relate their Christian faith to their own life and locality.
Calum Burke, Curate at Top Church in Dudley has recently taken part in a 'Stammer Stories' podcast series, sharing his experiences of stammering & ordained ministry. In this blog he talks about his stammer & the impact on his faith journey.
Five people from parishes across the Diocese were admitted to the office of Reader on Saturday. Bishop Martin conducted the service, licensing the individuals to minister in the parishes they have been called to serve.
19 people have received a certificate from Bishop John to mark the completion of their courses to become ALMs. The special service at the Cathedral was a celebration of this form of lay ministry.
14 candidates will be ordained as deacons and priests over the weekend to serve in parishes across the Diocese. Watch the live stream of the services.

Dr David Mair has been appointed as Bishop John’s new Adviser in Pastoral Care and Counselling. He will start in the role from 1 August, taking over from Sarah Cooke.
The St Wulfstan Cross, awarded to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the Church, has been given to Angela Kovacevic from the Parish of Stoke Prior, Wychbold & Upton Warren.

Due to the postponement of the ordinations, this week our new deacons were licensed to their parishes as Lay Ministers. In today's video, Bishop Martin encourages prayer for the candidates.
Following the postponement of the ordinations until September, those who were to be ordained Deacon will instead be licensed to their new parishes as lay minister this week, by the Bishop of Dudley over Zoom.
The Very Reverend Peter Marshall, Dean of Worcester from 1997 to 2006, died on 20 June.
This year's ordinations have been moved to September.
