The Church of England is partnering with registered charity, Renew Wellbeing to support churches in creating open spaces of welcome and inclusion for their local community.
As a diocese, we have the opportunity to join a pilot scheme and are looking for churches who would like to be involved and create a ‘Renew’ space in their churches.
What is a Renew Space?
Renew spaces are simple cafe style spaces run by local churches where hobbies and activities are shared or co-produced. Each cafe space is attached to a prayer space or quiet room. Each church partners with a mental health professional from a suitable local organisation. Working together this provides a safe space where ‘it’s OK not to be OK’.
Full training and support is provided and the project is centrally funded.
