Interviews for the next Bishop of Worcester

Next Thursday and Friday – 12 & 13 June – the Crown Nominations Committee (CNC) will be interviewing for our next Bishop of Worcester. Please help us to surround the process with prayer!

The members of the CNC representing our diocese are:

• Kashmir Garton
• Nikki Groarke
• Rich Johnson
• Claire Lording
• Hugh Richards
• Iren Treasure

You can read more about them here.

At this crucial time in the appointment process for our next Bishop, please do pray for all members of the CNC and for those candidates who will be interviewed.

We have produced a range of resources for both personal and corporate prayer, which you can download here.

There will be a dedicated prayer space in the Cathedral which you are welcome to drop into at any time over the two days or just take the time to pray at home or in your own church.

And if you are planning to pray, please book a prayer slot on our dedicated webpage so we know that we’ve got people praying throughout the two days (and throughout the night in between). Find the available slots here.

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for those you call to faithfully lead and shepherd your church.
As we seek a new Bishop of Worcester, help us to be attentive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, give us heavenly wisdom, and bless our diocese that we might enter a
new season of growth and fruitfulness as Kingdom People.
For your glory and in the name of Christ. Amen
