The appeal launched as part of Bishop John’s Lent message to mark 10 years since his enthronement as Bishop of Worcester has raised 9403.84 for Berega Hospital.

Bishop John said: “Berega Hospital ministers to the poor and it is incrisis because of lack of funding. This magnificent sum will go a very long wayon those circumstances. I am immensely grateful to all those who have respondedso generously to this appeal.”
Chair of the Morogoro Task Group, Canon John Green said: “‘What a wonderful result for Berega Hospital. Thanks toeveryone that has made this possible. Your money will be a real lifelinefor a hospital that lives on a shoestring with insufficient resources toprovide even basic care and medicines. The Hospital Director, Canon Isaac Mgegodoes a wonderful job in managing this amazing church hospital which continuesto offer care to so many who have so little and I can imagine his joy andhappiness when he receives this spendid gift from the people and parishesof the Diocese of Worcester.”
