Bach to Beyoncé on speed dial! A practical workshop on using technology to facilitate worship.
More and more of us find ourselves relying on technology to supply the music for our worship. It’s quite common now for someone to have to download some songs on their phone, tablet or laptop and connect either with or without wires to a speaker. And of course, many of our churches are also choosing to install screens and projector to use in worship.
Pershore and Evesham deanery have organized this evening workshop for churches which either are already doing this, or are thinking of doing it and want to find out what they need to know to do it. Although organised in one deanery, it is open to anyone in the diocese. (Drakes Broughton is less than 5 miles from Junction 7 of the M5)
On the evening, several people will share short examples of what they’re doing. There will be opportunity to share good practice, ask questions, and also take note of some of the copyright questions involved. The Bishop’s Worship and Liturgy Adviser, Doug Chaplin, will be helping facilitate this evening alongside the deanery clergy.
