Faith Security Training (FST) is a new training scheme available from the Home Office for faith communities in England & Wales.
The training is intended to help faith communities reduce the risk of hate crime, anti-social behaviour, and serious threats.
Worcester Diocese is hosting a training session Tuesday 10 November, 10:00-16:30, at Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Lower Smite Farm, Smite Hill, Hindlip, WR3 8SZ.
Until 30 September, this training is only bookable by clergy, churchwardens, and church operations managers in the Diocese of Worcester. If there are available spaces after that date, people from other denominations and faith communities in Worcestershire and Dudley will be welcome to book.
We shall operate a waiting list once all available spaces are taken, and if there is widespread interest, plan a repeat of this.
Training will cover:
- Understanding threats to security
- Pre-incident actions and incident response security measures
- Risk scenarios
- Security governance
