Encounter Meditation An in-person evening retreat with music, art and silence. An invitation to take an hour out of the busyness of modern life. Facilitated by contemplative practitioners, Mary Flitcroft and Helen Stanton, sessions will start with a piece of live music or artwork followed by a time of reflection, silence, and meditation. Those familiar with and new to contemplative practice are welcome. When: the second Monday of each month beginning 12th January 7pm – 8.30pm Where: Holland House Cropthorne WR10 3NB When: 14th January, and then the second Wednesday of each month 7pm – 8.30pm Where: St Mary’s Church Old Swinford Rectory Rd, Stourbridge DY8 2HA Registration: Please pre-book via the website so we have contact details for attendees should the event need to be re-scheduled Cost: Pay as you can, suggested donation £5-10 per session What to expect: A warm welcome, time of reflection, silence, contemplation, and discussion. Each session will end with refreshments and a chance to get to know each other. What to bring: No prior knowledge or expertise of art, music or meditation is needed. Come just as you are. Mary is a ceramic artist, a retreat leader, and a spiritual director She is Bishops’ Adviser for Spirituality for the Diocese of Worcester. Helen is a theologian, writer, and spiritual director. She is Warden of Holland House (Ecumenical) Retreat and Conference Centre, and an amateur painter.
