This two-day course welcomes new headteachers into our family of church schools and provides opportunities for personal and professional networking, whilst covering the following topics over the two days:

- church schools in The Diocese of Worcester
- categories of a church school
- overview of being a church school from a SIAMS perspective
- the Diocesan Education Team and services provided
- the SLA and signposting to essential courses
- the role of the Diocesan Board of Education
- new headteacher mentoring
- leadership: forming and sharing the school vision
- vision into values: making your church school distinctive
- understanding relationships of key partnerships
- governance of church schools including being an Ex-officio
- sustainability of church schools
- church school land and buildings
- sustainable school structures
- compliance.
We conclude day two with a Commissioning Service, welcoming headteachers to our church school family.
