This one-day course is suitable for teachers, at any stage of their career, who are new to teaching in a Church of England School. Church schools have a very distinctively Christian feel, ethos and culture, which are rooted in a theological vision.
On this course will we cover:
- the history of church schools
- church schools in the Diocese of Worcester
- categories of a church school
- an overview of being a church school from a SIAMS perspective
- the Diocesan Education Team and services provided
- understanding the importance of vision
- governance of church schools.
Through this, you will have a better understanding of the distinctive nature of church schools, and the expectations on staff.
