ROC Conversation hopes to improve Worcester for everyone

Published: 10th September 2021

Redeeming our communities logoPeople from across Worcester city will gather at The Bank House Hotel on Monday 18 October at 7pm to look at how Worcester can become an even better place to live and work.

The ROC Conversation brings together civic, church, business, charity, public sector and community leaders and representatives from across Worcester and the county, to celebrate all the great work happening within our communities from the grass roots up and to look and see if there are any ways in which we can work better together to build safer and healthier communities.

Civic leaders along with representatives from the police and emergency services, the council, charities, NHS, education, churches, businesses and various faith-based groups will all be present at the event and anyone who wants to make a difference to the community in Worcester and tackle the issues currently facing our city are welcome to come along.

ROC Conversations have already been held in cities and counties across the county with a number of success stories. The outcomes from the conversation have been recognised and regarded as significant by the home office and police forces across the UK.

Police and Crime Commissioner, John Campion, said:

“We should never underestimate the impact that can be made when people come together. I look forward to being part of the ROC Conversation as we work together to make our communities safer and stronger.”

The Bishop of Worcester, Dr John Inge, said:

“I’m really excited that ROC is coming to Worcester to hold their conversation. I’d encourage all those who want to make a difference to our community to get involved and share their ideas and experiences. If the outcome is a practical plan that we can all get behind, that can only have a positive impact on Worcester city and beyond.”

The ROC Conversation can be a great catalyst for some amazing community transformation projects and a grow more calaborative and cohesive community strategies. To sign up to be involved, visit: www.roc.uk.com/worcester.
