Bishop Hugh enjoyed a tour of Pershore and Evesham deanery yesterday, as he continues to get to know the churches and communities of our diocese.
New church bells arrived at Grade 1 listed Elmley Castle Church this morning, welcomed by the village as well as children from Elmley Castle CE First School.
While the world has traded vinyl records for streaming and telegrams for smartphones, Dave Banner has continued to sing in the choir of St John’s Church in Bromsgrove. On 10 May Dave celebrated 70 years as a chorister at the church!
The finance team at the diocesan office now offers a bookkeeping service for parishes. It is hoped that this will be particularly useful for those churches who have treasurers wishing to retire or inexperienced treasurers who might need some support taking on the role, particularly with the legal aspects.
On Friday 1 May children from Key Stage 2 at Whittington CE Primary School gathered in the grounds of Whittington Church, stopping at various places to pray for our church and community.

Over 90 people from Dudley churches made their way down to St Paul’s Cathedral last Friday to support former Rector of Dudley, James Treasure as he was consecrated as Bishop of St Germans in the Diocese of Truro.
Whittington CE Primary School and the Church of St Philip and St James in Whittington have come together for a community celebration day. One of our Kidderminster benefices has recently launched a new website. They are very pleased with their new site, finding it easy to update and maintain. The website uses the HUBB Church platform and was created by editing pre-populated templates.
The Healthier Churches Fund was created using money which has been freed up from investments alongside some Lowest Income Communities funding from the National Church. Parishes can apply for funding for projects to help make a difference in reaching out in their community and bring more people to faith.
