The church of St John the Baptist serves the village of Beckford on the southern side of Bredon Hill.

Currently the priest with pastoral responsibility for St John's is the Vicar of Eckington, Reverend Allison Davies who can be contacted via e-mail - eckingtonvicarage@hotmail.com.com.

If you have a general inquiry or a specific query about baptisms, weddings or funerals please contact the Administrative Coordinator for the Bredon Hill Group, Alison Khan on 07984 748059 or at acbhteam@gmail.com

With the government's announcement of a third National Lockdown; church wardens have agreed with Reverend Allison that there will be a suspension of public worship in all the churches within the Bredon Hill Group. This is a decision which has not been taken lightly but given the age of the congregation in our churches, the speed in which the new strain of the virus can be transmitted; the welfare of the clergy members taking our services and the requirement not to travel beyond our villages it was agreed that this was the best cause of action. This decision will be reviewed at the end of January.

In the meantime a mixture of Morning Prayer via Zoom and YouTube recorded services will be provided. Details of our services can be found on the Services and Events page.

From the 1st February 2021 there will be a change to the days when St John the Baptist is open for private prayer.  The church will now be open on Wednesdays between 10am and 4pm and Sundays between 10am and 4pm.
