Revitalise your parish work with children and young people!
Calling all parish volunteers with children and young people to a training day on Saturday, 27th February, 2010, at St John's School, Bromsgrove. For further details please click here.
The safety and well-being of all the children and young people we welcome into our churches and involve in our parish activities is paramount and is the key to “Protecting All God’s Children” in the Diocese.
In 2008 a new diocesan policy for child protection entitled ‘Safeguarding Children in the Diocese of Worcester’ was published and circulated to all Parish Representatives for Child Protection. To view this document and find out more about training opportunities please click here.
The Diocesan Youth Officer is happy to tailor training to the needs of your parish if there is no existing course which covers what you need. For example, if you are doing any of the following:
Starting youth work from scratch
Taking young people on a residential for the first time
Establishing links with your local school
Setting up some detached work
Working with young people towards youth worship
do get in touch and ask me questions and I can either point you to the right training or come and work with you as a parish.
