Residentials

Are you thinking of taking your group away but don't know where to begin?

Do you want to liven up your weekend away?

Want to go self catered but no idea where to start planning a menu?

The diocese has just invested in the Resource sheets from http://www.cci.org.uk/index.php which give you all kinds of advice about planning, leading and reviewing your residential with young people.

If you would like to borrow these or would like any advice on planning your residential with young people, please do     get in touch.

CCI also has a free venue finder service which will pass your details to all the residential centres that meet your requirements (size, location, catered/self-catered etc). Or you could consider taking over a youth hostel as a group. Locally you can choose from: Leominster, Coalbrookdale, Clun Mill, Dimmingsdale and Kington

I can also suggest a few places locally which you might like to consider as a place for your residential.

Far Forest Centre

This is the residential youth centre for the Diocese of Worcester. It's a self-catering residential centre for use by youth groups, uniformed organisations, schools, and Duke of Edinburgh Award groups.

The centre is set in the idyllic rural village of Far Forest, just off the A456. The centre offers basic, warm, self-catering accommodation for up to forty people and has a small grassed area at the rear, together with ample car parking space. Opposite is a spacious games field. Charges are kept to an absolute minimum so that as many people as possible can enjoy the centre's facilities.

For more detailed information and for bookings and costs please contact Mrs Edna Mills, Church Lane Cottage, Church Lane, Far Forest, Nr Kidderminster, Worcestershire, Tel 01299 266742
