Description: On Saturday 10th July, the Birmingham Oratory will provide a highly appropriate setting for the performance of two rare choral masterpieces from the 1920s by the Birmingham Bach Choir.

The third in its programme of 'Inspiring Masses', the concert offers a mass by the Swiss composer Frank Martin, and the Requiem mass by Martin's noted Italian contemporary Ildebrando Pizzetti.  Conducted by Paul Spicer, these two unaccompanied work offer wonderful, emotional harmonies which will delight the listener.

The performance starts at 7.30pm at the Oratory, Hagley Road, Birmingham.  Admission tickets may be purchased on the door or from Birmingham Central Library (Tel. 0121 303 2323) or from Birmingham Ticketshop and Tourism Centre, The Rotunda, 150 New Street, Birmingham (Tel. 0121 202 5000)
